Take a hike through the trails, and you may be lucky enough to spot the tapir’s family.
Visit the thematic Gardens at your own pace and enjoy the Butterfly Garden, Hummingbird Garden, Orchid Garden, and Herpetarians, or the sloth’s nursery; it is a beautiful experience to see this many species in the same place.
An adventure in the forest : Zip line
If adventure is your style, you can embark on thrilling activities such as ziplining with 9 cables and 12 platforms to challenge you, maximizing the thrill with the Adrenaline cable of 700 meters through the forest.
The staff at Tapirus Lodge is friendly and always available to help; one thing that surprised me so much was that each of them pointed at the spot where a creature of the forest was hidden, from spiders and birds to snakes; we could see so much fauna.
My favorite activity was the nighttime tour with the local guide, Marvin, a very knowledgeable person who loves his job and does it with great care and passion.
We learned many rain forest secrets and could see species we had never seen before.
Marvin’s expertise allows him to find all kinds of bugs, birds, and snakes you can only see at night.
A ride in the treetops : Aerial Tram
The most popular activity at this fantastic eco-lodge is the aerial Tram, a bird’s point of view, a 45-minute ride in the canopy of the rain forest, a chance to see life from a different perspective: the marvelous scenery, the sky, and all this green and dense forest invite you to relax, leave your worries behind, breath in easy and be one with nature.
We did it during a rainy afternoon, and it was fantastic to see the drops falling down the jungle, the birds flying from one tree to another, playing like children, the trees dancing with the wind, the clouds covering the sky in darker colors, everything around us was alive and awake.
The gondolas are very comfortable and safe; this is an activity for all ages, with no effort involved, only the desire to embrace the gifts of Mother Nature.
